CPC Course Information:
Today's demand for certified professional coders (CPCs) is growing as many jobs in the coding and billing field now require certification. To help meet this demand, Nancy Enos is again offering a 12-week preparatory course in medical coding. At the end of the course, the CPC exam will be offered.
Tuition: Registration for a CPC course is $2,000 per student and includes CPC student workbooks, one-year membership in the AAPC and CPC certification exam. A $500 deposit will be required upon registration
Fees will be paid to AAPC for the workbooks, membership and CPC exam. Nancy Enos does not assume any liability for AAPC products, curriculum or exam.
Course Expectations:This fast-paced study program will challenge medical billing and coding professionals to raise the bar and reach new levels of understanding. Weekly 5-hour classes with 2-3 hours of homework/study time each week will prepare the student for CPC certification.
CPC Preview/Review Course information:
This 4 session course will offer students who are registered for the Fall 2011 course an opportunity to preview the materials and be prepared to succeed in their certification course! The 4 modules include 1) Anatomy and Terminology 2) CPT Guidelines 3) Test taking techniques and study tips and 4) ICD-9 Overview.
Who should enroll?
Students preparing for the 2011 Fall CPC Course may take this course FREE OF CHARGE. Students who have taken the CPC course and need a refresher before taking the CPC exam may enroll at a discount fee of $199. Regular tuition is $299. This course offers 10 CEU’s.
E/M Seminar Information:
Students will prepare for the Certified Evaluation and Management Coder Exam. AAPC’s new 2010 CEMC Exam includes 50 notes. This new preparatory class will focus on actual chart notes to audit with intensive hands on practical training. Students will review the E/M Key Components of History, Exam (both 1995 and 1997 Marshfield Clinic Guidelines) and audit notes in class to reinforce each of the Key Components.
Tuition: Registration for the two day seminar is $1000 and does not include payment and registration for the optional CEMC exam. Candidates do not have to be CPC certified, and can register for the CEMC exam 30 days before the exam date on the AAPC website. A $500 deposit will be required upon registration for the seminar. Tuition includes a workbook and practice exam. Students are expected to bring a 2010 CPT and ICD-9 Manual.

General Information for all Courses and Seminars:
Who should enroll? Health care professionals involved in coding, compliance, billing, administration and reimbursement aspects of medicine should be certified as part of your corporate compliance program.
Prerequisites:Two years of coding and/or university level course work is recommended. Basic understanding of ICD9 and CPT coding, anatomy and terminology required.
Texts Required: 2011 CPT Professional Edition, 2011 ICD-9-CM and 2011 HCPCS manual. Medical dictionary is helpful.
Attain AAPC Certification: Students may sit for the AAPC current certified professional coder (CPC) examination at the conclusion of the course. Tuition includes 2 opportunities to sit for all exams.
